Refund Policy
Thank you for choosing Own Shape! We want you to feel confident and beautiful in everything you purchase from us. But we also know that sometimes things don't work out—and that's okay.
If you're not completely satisfied with your purchase for any reason, you can return it to us for a full refund, store credit, or a size exchange.
Returns
All returns must be postmarked within fourteen (14) days of delivery. All returned items must be in new and unused condition, with original packaging intact.
How to Return an Item
To start a return, please reach out to us at support@ownshape.com with your order number. Once we confirm your return request, here's what to do:
- Pack the item securely in its original packaging with the return form provided
- Reach out to us with your order number, items you wish to return, and the reason why you would like to return.
- Mail your return to our returns address
Please note: you'll be responsible for return shipping costs. We strongly recommend using a trackable shipping method so you have peace of mind.
Photo Verification (Important!)
To ensure everything goes smoothly and you receive your full refund, please take a clear photo of all items you're returning before you ship them. Snap a quick picture of everything inside the package at your shipping location before sending it back.
This helps us verify that all items are accounted for and process your refund quickly. Returns without photo verification may delay your refund or result in partial refunds if items are missing.
Refunds
Once we receive your return and inspect the item, we'll process your refund or exchange. Please allow at least seven (7) days from when we receive your item. Refunds typically take 1-2 billing cycles to show up on your statement, depending on your credit card company. We'll send you an email as soon as your return is processed.
Damaged Items
We take pride in every piece we send out, but we know that sometimes things happen during shipping. If your item arrives damaged, here's what to do:
- Inspect immediately: Check your package as soon as it arrives
- Document the damage: Take clear photos or videos of the damaged item and packaging—capture any rips, tears, or imperfections
- Contact us: Email the photos or videos to support@ownshape.com within 14 days of receiving your order
- We'll make it right: If the damage happened during shipping or was our error, we'll send you a replacement or issue a full refund
Please note: if damage occurred due to mishandling or improper care after delivery, the item won't be eligible for return or exchange.
Return Requirements
For all returns, please make sure:
- Unworn and unwashed: Items must be in the same condition you received them—we can't accept items that have been worn, washed, or altered
- Original packaging: Please return items in their original packaging
- No signs of wear: Items must be free from damage (unless the product arrived damaged)
One-Time Exception Policy
In certain situations, we may send you a replacement item without requiring you to return the original first. If you're not satisfied with the replacement, you'll need to return both the original and replacement items to qualify for a refund. This is a one-time courtesy, and we can't offer additional replacements without returns.
Exchanges
We want you to find your perfect fit! If you need a different size or want to try a different style, just let us know when you initiate your return. We're happy to help you find what works best for your body.
Important Timeline Notes
- Returns must be requested within 14 days of delivery
- Items returned after this period may not be eligible for refund
- Return shipping is the customer's responsibility
- We recommend using trackable shipping—we're not liable for lost or damaged returns
Refund Timeline
Once we receive and inspect your return, we'll notify you about the status of your refund. If approved, your refund will be applied to your original payment method within 10 business days. Keep in mind it may take a few extra days for your bank to process it.
